‘Phantom of the Opera’ Celebrates 10,000 Performances

Hugh Panaro Performs From Phantom on CBS Saturday Morning
On the February 11 edition of CBS Saturday Morning, actor Hugh Panaro, who plays the title role in Broadway’s Phantom of the Opera at the Majestic Theatre, performed the showstopping number “Music of the Night” and chatted with the show’s hosts. The appearance was in honor of the musical celebrating its 10,000th performance on Broadway that day.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s masterwork is more than the longest-running musical in Broadway history – it’s an international phenomenon that unmasks the audience's emotions through a legendary score, haunting romance, and a timeless story of seduction and despair.
