Tickets Now On Sale for Fierstein, Lauper-Written Musical ‘Kinky Boots’

Based on the beloved British film, Kinky Boots features a warm and witty book by four-time Tony-winner Harvey Fierstein (La Cage Aux Folles, Newsies), direction and choreography by Tony-winner Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray), and a richly diverse score from the legendary Cyndi Lauper.

Tickets are now on sale for the much-anticipated new musical, Kinky Boots. Based on the film of the same name and featuring “Sex is in the Heel,” already a Top 10 song on the Billboard charts, Kinky Boots also boasts a warm and witty book by four-time Tony-winner Harvey Fierstein (La Cage Aux Folles, Newsies), direction and choreography by Tony-winner Jerry Mitchell (Legally Blonde: The Musical), and a richly diverse musical score from Grammy-winner Cyndi Lauper  in her stunning theatrical debut.

Kinky Boots will begin previews at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) on March 5 with an official opening night set for April 4.

Kinky Boots Story

In Kinky Boots, Charlie Price has suddenly inherited his father’s shoe factory, which is on the verge of bankruptcy. Trying to live up to his father’s legacy and save his family business, Charlie finds inspiration in the form of Lola. A fabulous entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos, Lola turns out to be the one person who can help Charlie become the man he’s meant to be. As they work to turn the factory around, this unlikely pair finds that they have more in common than they ever dreamed possible… and discovers that when you change your mind about someone, you can change your whole world.

Kinky Boots Performance Schedule

Weekly performance schedule: Tuesdays at 8:00pm, Wednesdays at 2:00pm and 8:00pm, Thursdays at 8:00pm, Fridays at 8:00pm, Saturdays at 2:00pm and 8:00pm, Sundays at 3:00pm.

Beginning April 8: Tuesdays at 7:00pm, Wednesdays at 2:00pm and 8:00pm, Thursdays at 7:00pm, Fridays at 8:00pm, Saturdays at 2:00pm and 8:00pm, Sundays at 3:00pm.
