On January 24, 2013, Inside Broadway and Annie will join forces to offer two “Creating the Magic” events. These events will be offered to over 2,500 New York City public school students for free at 10:45am and 1:15pm at the Palace Theatre. The students will be given a behind-the-scenes look at Annie and Broadway with the members of Annie‘s cast and crew.

Annie stars two-time Tony Award-winner Katie Finneran as Miss Hannigan, Australian star Anthony Warlow making his Broadway debut as Daddy Warbucks, and – reflecting Annie’s timeless rags to riches tale – unknown newcomer 11-year-old Lilla Crawford will play Annie.
Also starring Brynn O’Malley as Grace Farrell, Clarke Thorell as Rooster Hannigan and J. Elaine Marcos as Lily St. Regis. The orphans are Madi Rae DiPietro as July, Georgi James as Pepper, Junah Jang as Tessie, Tyrah Skye Odoms as Kate, Taylor Richardson as Duffy, and Emily Rosenfeld as Molly. The production also features Ashley Blanchet, Jane Blass, Jeremy Davis, Merwin Foard, Joel Hatch, Ryan Kasprzak, Amanda Lea LaVergne, Gavin Lodge, Liz McCartney, Desi Oakley, David Rossetti, Sarah Solie, Dennis Stowe and Ryan VanDenBoom.
Annie, which features a Tony Award-winning score by Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin and a Tony Award-winning book by Thomas Meehan, will be directed by three-time Tony Award-winner James Lapine and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Andy Blankenbuehler.
