About The Production

Peter and the Starcatcher upends the century-old legend of Peter Pan by being a wildly theatrical, hilarious and innovative retelling of how a miserable orphan came to be The Boy Who Never Grew Up, based on the best-selling Disney-Hyperion novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson.

Winner of 5 Tony Awards, Peter and the Starcatcher features a dozen brilliant actors playing more than 100 unforgettable characters using their enormous talent, ingenious stagecraft and the limitless possibilities of imagination. Don’t miss this epic origin story of one of popular culture’s most enduring and beloved characters and discover the Neverland you never knew.

Peter and the Starcatcher first premiered Off-Broadway at the New York Theatre Workshop March 9, 2011, where it extended its run twice. The entire Off-Broadway cast transferred to Broadway along with the production. Broadway previews began March 28, 2012, and the production opened on April 15,2012 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. It ended its Broadway run Jan. 20, 2013. Peter and the Starcatcher transferred to an open-ended Off-Broadway run at New World Stages in March.
