Just in time to usher in the dawning of a new age in America, The Public Theater’s joyous production of HAIR sets course across the US. A celebration of life, a love letter to freedom, and a passionate cry for hope and change, HAIR features some of the greatest songs ever written for the stage. Since it's revival began in Central Park two summers ago, the sensational cast have invited thousands onstage to join the party. Now it’s your turn.
HAIR tells the story of a group of friends choosing to speak up and sing out in celebration of love, life and freedom. The first great rock musical, it has some of the most rousing and soulful songs ever written for the stage, including "Let the Sun Shine In," "Easy to be Hard," "Good Morning Starshine," "Aquarius" and the infectious title song, "Hair."

“THRILLING! This emotionally rich revival delivers what Broadway otherwise hasn’t felt this season: INTENSE, UNADULTERATED JOY. CUDDLY, SWEET, MADCAP and ECSTATIC, the young cast members are TEARING DOWN THE HOUSE, and any theatergoer with a pulse will find it hard to resist their invitation to join the demolition crew.”
- Ben Brantley, The New York Times
“TRIUMPHANT, GLORIOUS and BREATHTAKING! HAIR is A MUSICAL FOR THE AGES because it’s A MUSICAL FOR THE NOW.”
- Elisabeth Vincentelli, New York Post
"A CELEBRATION OF LIFE AND FREEDOM, and A GOOD HIGH TIME!”- Joe Dziemianowicz, Daily News
“**** (of 4)! TUNE IN, TURN ON, AND BE PREPARED FOR AN EXHILARATING RIDE. HAIR is TRANSCENDENT, with a scrumptious rock-candy score and A FLAWLESS CAST!”
- Elysa Gardner, USA Today
